The findings, dissimilar from the Western literature, are explained in terms of the differences in Turkish family dynamics, and gender socialization. Further, with the diversity among individuals' scores obtained from the Individualism/Collectivism Scale this book affirms that the Turkish culture cannot be defined as either totally individualistic or collectivistic in nature.
