The outcome of this book is a new class of multi-functional polymer nanocomposites containing well dispersed nano-scaled graphene plates. Like carbon nanotubes, graphene sheets exhibit attractive properties, can be readily mass-produced and are expected to become available at much lower costs and in larger quantities. When incorporated as a nanofiller in a matrix, isolated graphene sheets can impart exceptional mechanical and electrical properties. This work focuses on the development of methods to identify and electrically characterize individual and packed graphene sheets; analysis of dispersion degree of nanofillers in solvents and 2D and 3D analisys of network structures of nanofillers in polymer matrices, relating organisation/morphology of nanocomposites with their (functional) properties and ultimate performance.
