This presents a valuable and unique guide for both pianoforte teachers and lecturers, to assist pianists to prepare,interpret and perform Baroque music on the modern pianoforte.

Dr Erika Bothma is a senior lecturer in piano and performance practice at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.She is a well-known chamber musician,accompanist and concerto soloist in SAand also plays the violin in the Eastern Cape Philharmonic Orchestra.She is a music examiner for UNISA.
