Auditory hallucinations are distressing experience, and associated with serious psychiatric symptoms such as anxiety, depression and suicidal behavior. Schizophrenic patients who experience auditory hallucinations have to develop strategies to manage their hallucinations and minimize the extent to which they interfere with their everyday lives.Therefore, auditory hallucinations can be self-managed.
