The book looks at the role that ballistic and cruise missiles play in international security- not just combat capability, but also for deterrence and for coercive diplomacy enhancing the stature of the state possessing such capability in forum of world politics. It also does a study of ballistic and cruise missile developments across the world by major players while tracing back their historical journey also in the missile development program, while analysing the possibility of arms control and disarmament to make the world free of missile systems.
