The book is an insight into the understanding of the genesis, evolution and activities of Boko Haram in Nigeria and Cameroon from 1945 to the present date. The data for the investigation was collected from primary, secondary and tertiary sources and analysed and interpreted with mixed methods. It accounts for the establishment of the sect in Nigeria, how it extended its tentacles and diabolic activities to Cameroon, discusses the consequences of its activities on Cameroon, addresses global responses to its activities and international efforts to crush the sect. The work reveals that Boko Haram was an ethno-socio- political and geostrategic power complex ploy whose agenda was deeper than anybody ever imagined. Considering that terrorism has a global network colouration and the activities of the sect have international repercussions, the work suggests that the fight against the sect should be a collective effort and not the responsibility of Cameroon alone to confront the sect. The work concludes that, although the wings of the sect were seriously clipped by the multinational joint task force, it remains a future threat and should be seriously monitored to avoid reincarnation.
