This is regarding the study of clogging in drip irrigation system. In chapter 1 that is Introduction it is mentioned all about the clogging in drip irrigation system. A field experiment was conducted from December 2011 to April 2012 in farmer's field at Yeragera village, Raichur, with a view to work out water requirement of groundnut crop under different micro sprinkler irrigation levels and surface irrigation. The comparison was made in terms of growth, yield and quality parameters between surface and different levels of micro sprinkler irrigation. Further the experiment also aimed to compare various irrigation efficiencies and economics of different levels of micro sprinkler irrigation versus surface irrigation.

Acids which are selected for the study were DS-99, Nitric acid, sulfuric acid, Hydrochloric acid and phosphoric acid. No acid treatment was taken as a control. For selected two polyhouse total twelve treatments (six treatments for online type emitter and six treatments for inline type emitter) were given. Further it was also planned to inject the acid at fixed interval (15 days).The biometric observations of plants such as plant height (cm) and girth (cm) of these plants were noted periodically to see the effects of unclog emitters discharge due to application of different acids treatment.

More over 40% of food grains production comes from dry lands. India will need 308.5 m tons of food grains by 2030 to feed the population.
