The data about the incidence of rheumatoid arthritis of approximately sixty patients was collected by interviewing them at various hospitals in District Narowal. The data had been analysed to determine the relative occurrence and incidence of rheumatoid arthritis by different age groups. The analysis shows the prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis was more in males (55%, n=33/60) as compared to females (45%, n=27/60). Rheumatoid arthritis was more prevalent in age group 41-50 years (32%, n=19/60) and less prevalent in age group 61-70 years (3%, n=2/60). In our sample population the prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis by age group 11-20 years was 10%, age group 21-30 years was 15%, age group 31-40 years was 28%, age group 41-50 years was 32%, age group 51-60 years was 12% and by age group 61-70 years was 3%. Prevalence is known as the number of all new cases and old cases of a disease during a given time. The prevalence of rheumatic diseases in developing countries is largely unknown. Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease of modern civilization and attacking people in every part of the world and people of every field are being affected.
