Press Freedom being the right to publish facts, ideas and opinion without interference from the government or private groups, in most African countries is an issue mentioned in the constitutions, but not being practically observed by the concerned authorities. Even the countries noted to have the freest press freedom, there are some points of obstructing press from carrying out their work.In particular,the book proposes that society's right to freedom of the press contributes to reconciling the communal oriented traditions of African cultures with the more individually oriented concept of freedom of the press originally conceived in international human rights law.

He has worked as a consultant with various organisations including United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).
