This study was designed to investigate the loop holes involved in the policy making with reference to adaptive reuse of Colonial Buildings on Mall Road, Lahore,Pakistan. The research was conducted in urban areas of Mall Road, Lahore by using qualitative research methodology in which In-depth Interviews were conducted. Findings of the research revealed that most of the Colonial buildings on Mall have lost their original use and are being used for other purposes with few exceptions and even those were not functioning properly and were not being maintained. The authorities did not maintain any policy which in detail covers all aspects of reuse of Colonial Buildings.This book is divided into six chapters. First chapter is Introduction in which statement of the problem, objectives and significance of the research is written. Second chapter is Review of literature, in which the previous researches are documented. In third chapter, Methodology is explained in detail. Detailed analysis is given in the fifth chapter where In-depth interviews are transcribed and codified in verbatim. In last chapter conclusion is drawn with some recommendations.
