This book deals with preparation of tinted moisturizer. Instead of inorganic colour pigment, a natural pigment ss -carotene from a natural source, carrot is used. It is non toxic safe and has antioxidant property. ss-carotene is a precursor of vitamin A, it posses healing and cellular renewal property. It gets deposited in the horney layer where it produces a characteristic yellow colour in the thicker parts of the horney layer. To improve moisturizing property, soybean oil is used.Not only is it a effective moisturizer, but its intrinsic phyto-estrogen content is valuable in promoting good skin care. The present study presents isolation of carotene and incorporation of it in developed moisturizer also containing soy oil."
