Master's Thesis from the year 2016 in the subject Business economics - Controlling, grade: 1, course: MBA, language: English, abstract: Leadership is practicing and exercising of power in nature, for this, leaders are to develop a power-based organization to utilize their power in an effective way to influence subordinates for achieving organizational goals. In today's organization, power is a permanent reality and will exist until the organization's life. Leaders in organizations seek to acquire power and then use the power for the achievement of organizational goal with having the goal achievement roadmap in their minds. Reliance on the power is an integral part of leader's job while it has direct influence over subordinate performance, job satisfaction, and effectivity. Therefore, considering leader's power as an important factor in organizational development and success the researcher has decided to study the local telecommunication company (AWCC). This is an investigative nature of research that tends to find the types of power that higher management or leadership positions of AWCC uses in Kabul to influence their subordinates. Meanwhile, this research has a comparative section that incorporates the reliance of male leaders versus female leaders on the type of power to influence their followers. The information in this research is extracted from primary and secondary sources of information, the researcher used books, journals, and research papers for collecting secondary information, and for the primary source of information, and the main tool was questionnaires and personal visits with AWCC employees.
