He holds an M.A. in Arab Studies from the American University in Beirut, Lebanon. Later he lived and worked in Saudi Arabia, & Egypt. U.S. assignments included the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the Office of the Joint Chief of Staff (OJCS) in the Pentagon as well as the Rapid Deployment Joint Task Force (RDJTF) that later became the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida where he retired. He has taught off and on at his church and at his Continuing Care Facility, Freedom Plaza, where he has resided since 2001. He has also been a frequent speaker in the Sun City Center, Florida area and has previously published two educational novels: Out of Darkness in 2009 and Baffling Puzzle in 2012.
