"Birthmark" is born out of the life experiences of those who worship the LORD in spirit and in truth; holding fast to His doctrine and manner of life. So often we look for revelation of the Holy Scriptures to come from the pages of the Bible, or the sermon lips of a preacher. However, I have found that true revelation is the life that exemplifies the very heart of Christ. Revelation, as Jesus tells us in Matthew 16:17, is walking, hearing, seeing and speaking those things that The Father has spoken into our spirit. Those that seek The Father diligently are the ones whom He trusts with revelation. How is it that we have been entrusted with things that the angels desire to understand-to bear the mark of His impressionable power and majesty in these vessels of clay? It must be so that somewhere in "the fight" someone can gaze upon the ramparts of one's life and see the evidence of "Christ in us, the hope of glory." It must be that the war cries, battle wounds, and tests produce testimonies, trust and trophies that reach beyond the pain of battle, and into the victory of the cross.
