de Hart, Allen

Allen de Hart has been hiking, designing, constructing, maintaining, and writing about southeastern trails for more than sixty years. He is author of eleven guidebooks, including "Trails of Virginia" and "North Carolina Hiking Trails", and founder of the de Hart Botanical Gardens. De Hart is professor emeritus of history and cultural affairs adviser at Louisburg College in North Carolina.
