Brett Zimmerman is an associate professor of English at York University in Toronto, Canada. He specializes in American literature but his magazine and journal publications indicate a wide range of interests including literature, science (particularly astronomy), history, psychology, philosophy, and photography. His academic publications include "Herman Melville: Stargazer" and "Edgar Allan Poe: Rhetoric and Style" (both by McGill-Queen's UP).
