Zhang Guixing is a Malaysian-Chinese author best known for a series of epic novels set in Borneo: "Siren Song," "The Clown Dynasty," "Herds of Elephants," and "The Primate Cup." His work has been the subject of extensive academic and popular discussion in Taiwan, where he continues to live and work as a high school English teacher.
