George Zamalea is a novelist and short-story and mystery writer who has lived in Spain, Portugal, France, and Italy; when not traveling, he makes his home in Mojave, California. Zamalea's works include The Need of the Nothingness and Portrait both of book poetry and collection of short stories The Burning Roots and other works. He is a community activist, a Sheriffs' Association Supporter, an Internet newspaper gossip columnist, and an excellent chess player. Also he's an active member of Poets & Writers American and a Society of Children Book Writers & Illustrators Associate.
