The author, a retired professor of economics, holds six degrees in the areas of education, business, and economics including two graduate degrees from Indiana University and a Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut. He has taught business and economics for more than four decades at undergraduate and graduate levels In Asia, Africa, and the United States. He has received a number of awards for excellence in teaching and has been a visiting faculty fellow at Yale University.
