As a child, KZ's greatest influences were her Artist Mother and Story-teller Father. So it was only natural that one day, KZ would write and illustrate books. This young award winning artist was raised on a ranch in Potomac, MD during the early years of her life. This is where KZ developed a love for animals. Horses, ponies, lambs, billy goats and dogs were her best friends. Sitting in the fields and sketching her animal pals was how KZ learned to draw.
