FREDERICK WULFF was born in Detroit and lived through the turbulent 50s and 60s with the struggles for civil rights. Some of his teenage years were spent in the deeply segregated South. Wulff is now a retired history professor, having taught at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. His Master's degree in history was earned at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and he pursued his PhD in history from Texas Christian University (TCU).
