Mauricio Wrots lives in Rio de Janeiro. He started his career as a journalist in the discontinued satirical newspaper called O Pasquim, becoming well-known due to his criticism directed at the military dictatorship. At Globo television he worked as a writer for a satirical show called "Satiricom." At the Educational channel in Rio de Janeiro he created and coordinated the program called "Tribunal da Historia" ("The Court of History").
