Tyra Wilson was born in Columbia, Maryland, raised throughout the Eastern Shore and Baltimore. Her first piece of work came in the form of a poem when her father passed in 1995 in which she also read at his funeral. Throughout the years, she's written (unpublished) for and inspired friends to write and make their voices heard. Truths and Trusts is Tyra's first published novel with a plethora of short unpublished stories and poetry under her belt.
