John R Wood is Professor Emeritus at the Department of Political Science, University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada. He began his academic career in 1969 with an appointment to the Department of Political Science, UBC, where over the next 36 years he primarily taught Comparative Politics, South Asian Government and Politics and Non-Western Politics.
