Wixley, Elizabeth

Elizabeth Wixley was born in Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom but moved many times during her childhood. She left home and slept rough on a beach in Cornwall. A year later she found herself in London where she attended Camberwell School of Art. Finally she ended up in Bristol where she began working for the Local Education Authority supporting children experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties back into mainstream education.
