Withers, Dorene

Dorene Withers was the lead singer for the Los Angeles based alt-rock band "The Black Nightingales." Her promising career as a singer/songwriter was cut tragically short by deep depression and an addiction to alcohol and drugs. After a short stint in rehab she took her own life in a Pasadena half way house.
