Winters, Nathaniel Robert

Nathaniel Robert "Bob" Winters was born in Brooklyn in 1950 and grew up mostly in Valley Stream, New York, in the Long Island suburbs. After serving a tour of duty in the Navy he fell in love with Northern California and made the area his home. He graduated from Sonoma State University and achieved a Masters in Education from California State University Stanislaus. He enjoyed being a high school history and science teacher for the Turlock School District for 33 years. For many years an avid skier and tennis player, he also coached baseball and soccer.
