Winstead, Barbara A.

Dr. Winstead is Professor of Psychology and Chairperson in the Department of Psychology, Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia. Her research interests focus on gender and close relationships, social support, and coping with multiple roles. Dr. Winstead is co-author (with Jessica Griffin) of "Friendship Styles," published in the ENCYCLOPEDIA OF WOMEN AND GENDER, Volume One (Academic Press, 2001). She is also the author of research articles and books on social support as well as on gender a close relationships.
