Michael Williams was born in 1952 and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He learned how to mountaineer and ski at an early age and developed an eye for the natural beauty of the California mountains. When he was 12 years old he started photographing the world around him. By his mid 20s he had traveled to the Himalaya and found a deep love for the people there. He's been photographing and traveling ever since.
