I am 62 years old. I got my first camera from My mom, Sarah, at age 12. After discovering backpacking in the Sierra at the same age, I was determined to visit the Himalaya and climb as high as possible. I started to sell my photos at age 22, after traveling to Kashmir, Ladhak and Zanskar. Though the glow and challenge of high altitude climbing never lost its allure, the sweet, tough and funny Himalayan people soon fascinated me.
