Glen Williams graduated in 1993 with a Ph.D. in rhetoric and public address from Indiana University. While a doctoral candidate, Williams directed the basic course in Interpersonal Communication at Indiana University (1990-1991). While working on his dissertation, he taught at Southwest Missouri State University (1991-1992) and at Indiana University Southeast (1992-1993).
