Williams, Eugenia Jenny

THE AUTHOR Jenny was born in Kosice, a city now in Slovak Republic. After occupation of her country by the USSR in 1968 she escaped to Vienna. In 1969 she arrived as an assisted migrant in Australia - where she continues to live. Whilst in her native country Jenny worked as a secretary but not speaking any English upon arrival in Australia, she was employed variously as a factory worker, kitchen hand and laboratory analyst, before becoming a successful businesswoman and finally a public servant. She lectures for adult education and regularly speaks to clubs and social groups on the subject of
