Richard Wiley is the author of four previous novels and a recipient of the PEN/Faulkner Award for Soldiers in Hiding. He has lived and worked in Japan, Korea, Nigeria, and Kenya and, with the publication of Ahmed's Revenge, has set a novel in each of these locales. Recently he has received grants from the NEA/Japan-United States Friendship Commission and the Japan Foundation, for work on a forthcoming novel. Richard Wiley is professor of fiction writing in the English Department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
