Paleontologist and biologist Bob Wieder spent so much time in Death Valley, California, that friends christened him "Badwater Bob." Bob taught himself guitar on the tailgate of his pickup truck and now wanders the high plateaus of Utah, entertaining folks around the campfire and playing for tips in local bars.
