Lucia Whitney was born and raised in San Francisco to parents of Sicilian descent. She worked at San Francisco State University as a librarian for many years and has a background in theater arts. Her love of art, travel, and different cultures brought her to many places throughout the world, and her book, "Tomorrow the Mudmen", is a memoir of her profound adventure to Papua New Guinea. Whitney currently lives in Belvedere, California, and continues to travel regularly.
