Whitfield, Mona Lisa

Born Mona Lisa Griffin, in Nashville, Tennessee. Mona discovered her love for writing while attending Indiana University as a single mother of four. Her own children and grandchildren give her plenty of material when writing stories and humorous poetry. Inspiration often comes in the middle of the evening when she wakes up, writes, and returns to bed. She often claims it is the only time left in the day so her creative side must not sleep. She is presently working on a series about mountain children in the Great Smoky Mountains, where she lives
