Author's Bio: I enlisted in the US Navy 1960, was given a Navy scholarship and received a BSEE from Penn State University in 1966. I was commissioned ENS, USN, and served in combat on destroyers, intelligence vessels and a mine sweeper command staff. I left active duty in 1970 and continued in the Navy Reserve advancing to Commander, surface warfare, commanding a fleet training group. I went on the retired list in 1983.
