Steven M. Weiss (Ph.D., Temple University) is Professor of Speech Communication at Northern Kentucky University and served as Department Chair from 1994-1998. He is a rhetorical studies scholar who teaches courses in Rhetorical Theory, Argumentation and Debate, and Persuasion. He has taught rhetoric at California State University Bakersfield, University of North Carolina at Wilmington (where he was chair of the department), and the University of Cincinnati.
