Born in 1963, Darin Weinberg received a B.A. in sociology and communications from the University of California, San Diego in 1984; an M.Sc. in social philosophy from the London School of Economics in 1985, and Ph.D. in sociology from U.C.L.A. in 1998. After teaching for three years at the University of Florida, he joined the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (now PPSIS) as a University Lecturer in 2000.
