Weekes, Lisa

Lisa Weekes is an elementary school reading teacher who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She has a bachelor's degree in literature and a master's in education.

Lisa and her students realized that there is a huge need for more diverse stories. She decided to write stories so that all kids can have the opportunity to see themselves when they open up a book.
