Jim Weber taught English, including creative writing, for nearly twenty years before he became the lead writer and editor for an educational publishing company, where he wrote and edited a wide variety of short fiction and nonfiction pieces. For the past several years he has been a freelance writer and editor. He moved to Austin in 1970 to attend the University of Texas, and in the subsequent forty-five years has experienced firsthand the many growth surges and growing pains of the city. He currently lives in Central Texas with his wife, best friend, and editor, Doni Lynn.
