Russell Watson was born in London in the spring of 1962. At the age of ten, he moved to the first of two neighbouring south coast seaside towns, where he remained until shortly after his twenty-third birthday. He was radicalised by the Thatcher years and their devastating effect on his family. He became deeply engrossed in political activism.
