David R. Warwick is an investor and economic researcher who promoted the idea of abolishing cash as early as 1993 in a booklet he wrote for the National Council on Crime and Delinquency, "Reducing Crime by Eliminating Cash." He also wrote a book, "Ending Cash, the Public Benefits of Federal Electronic Currency," (Quorum Books 1998), as well as in several articles for "The Futurist" magazine. He lives with his wife in Santa Rosa California.
