K. Rhiannon Ward has been writing short stories and poetry since she was a young adult. She, having been intrigued with vampire lore since she was thirteen, began taking notes on this, her debut novel, several years ago. When she finally brought the idea to her husband, he liked it and encouraged her to begin writing the story. Her passion for writing was rekindled and then brought into focus when she decided to participate in, and eventually become a winner of, National Novel Writing Month in November of 2008. K.
