In 1982, after years as a programmer, systems analyst and computer consultant in both the United States and Europe, on mainframes and minicomputers for large and small companies, he became involved with PCs and PC networks.
In 1985, with his son, he started a PC training business with offices in Boston and New York. He is now a PC consultant, a newspaper columnist and freelance writer who writes about computers and computer related topics
