Colleen Wait began her writing career in elementary school. As a shy child she developed her vivid imagination writing short stories and telling her dolls and pets her dreams. She is an avid reader, especially the classics. Every book began as a dream or a daydream, something to keep her mind occupied, so even though it seems like she writes fast in actuality the books have been written in the recesses of her mind over the span of many years.
