Arthur Vogelsang was born in Baltimore and has lived there and in New York City, Iowa City, Wichita, Philadelphia, Paris, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, places he has been employed variously as a teacher (University of Redlands, University of Southern California, University of Nevada, the Kansas Arts Commission, University of Iowa) and as an editor (The American Poetry Review, 1973-2006).
