Josh Vlach is a professional entomologist living in Oregon. He identified the first piglet bugs in Oregon, an exotic species from Europe. He loves nature and insects and wants to create books that encourage others to do the same. He was motivated to develop a children's book by the consistently inaccurate depictions of insects in books, television and film.
