Viljoen, Frans

Frans Viljoen is head of the department of Legal History, Comparative Law and Legal Philosophy, Director of Academic Programmes at the Centre for Human Rights, and head of the AIDS and Human Rights Research Unit at the University of Pretoria, and has become the latest recipient of the Alexander Von
Humboldt Research Fellowship to undertake research at the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg on comparative aspects of the European and African human rights systems.
