Mel Vil was born on an island near the planet's Northern pole. Yet growing up there, even in the wilds of East Anglia, he was brainwashed with the idea that he was located at the earth's very centre. He grew older never knowing the power of geography. He would go on to discover that it had an effect on not only climate and travel, but also perspective and culture.
